The Urunji Child-Care Trust is funded solely through grants, donations and other gifts. We do not receive government funding. Your support today will help us continue with our poverty alleviation initiatives in Malawi, India and soon in Zambia.
Mosquito nets to curb malaria… How you can help
Since January 2013, Urunji Child-Care Trust has distributed over 60,000 Long-Lasting Insecticide Treated Mosquito Nets to more than 2,000 house-holds. We still have a need to reach out to 5,000 more children. You can partner with us to make this initiative dubbed ‘I Have a Net’ a reality. One insecticide-treated mosquito net costs $10 and will help prevent malaria which is the major killer of children even more than HIV/AIDS.
School meals for over 2,000 children per day
We are running a feeding programme that enables children eat a meal a day. This helps them attend school, fight malnutrition and stunting and ensures we are creating a generation of future leaders who will be self-sufficient. You can support this programme that gives a ‘Hand-Up’ not a ‘Hand-Out’
Giving Out-of School Youth a Future Through Education and Technical Training
We secured a consignment of 20 free computers from our partners in the United Kingdom. We need funds to enable us ship this much equipment to Malawi to enable us provide free computer training to the youth to empower them in line with the Millennium Development Goals.
